Influencer marketing for fashion and textiles

In fashion it is not the image that decides, it is whether the piece looks the same on a body like your own. A creator can show that; a catalogue cannot.

Fit beats reach

Fashion campaigns rarely fail from too little attention and almost always from returns. Someone who orders a piece that fits differently than expected sends it back, and that revenue was never revenue. The most important job of a creator in this category is therefore not enthusiasm but precision: size, body measurements, fabric, drape and an honest statement about whether a piece runs small or large. For Turkish-speaking audiences there is an additional market that generic fashion campaigns never touch. Modest fashion has its own fit logic, its own occasions and a very active community that passes recommendations around intensively. Addressing that audience with generic campaign imagery gets you politely ignored.

Formats that work in fashion

01

Try-on with body measurements

A piece on a person with stated measurements and dress size answers the question that precedes every order. That single detail measurably reduces returns and matters more than any stylish campaign image.

02

Fabric and drape in motion

Weight, texture and opacity are not readable in a still image. A short movement shot in daylight shows more than an entire product description and prevents disappointment when the parcel is opened.

03

Combinations rather than single pieces

One piece shown in three combinations raises the basket size and simultaneously answers the quiet question of what you would even wear it with. In this category that works better than a discount.

04

Occasion-led outfits

Holidays, family celebrations and season changes create genuine demand. Posts tailored to an occasion get saved and pulled up again shortly before the date.

05

Material for ads and the shop

The same footage runs as an ad, on the product page and in customer service reply templates. That multiple use materially changes the cost calculation of a production.

How a campaign runs

  1. 01

    Clarify the goal

Audience, region and the next measurable step.

  2. 02

    Select creators

Proposals with real figures instead of gut feeling.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Briefing, production, approval and publication with a clear plan of responsibility.

  4. 04

    Evaluate

Reach, engagement and enquiries in the report. Learnings go into the next campaign.

Which creator profile fits fashion

  • Profiles with a matching build

The audience instantly recognises whether a piece is transferable to them. Several creators with different builds work better together than a single profile with very large reach.

  • Modest fashion profiles

For modest wear a profile from that community is close to essential, because fit, opacity and combinability are judged differently there. An outsider profile misses precisely those points.

  • Creators who state sizing honestly

Someone who openly says a piece runs small prevents returns. Profiles that like everything unconditionally produce more orders short term and more returns long term.

What we measure in fashion

Revenue per creator link

Every creator receives their own link so that revenue and returns can be attributed to the same collaboration. Without that separation it stays open which selection actually paid off.

Return rate per campaign

The decisive number in this category. An increase shows that fit or fabric were flattered in the post, and it wipes out any revenue gain.

Basket size

Combination posts are meant to lead to more than one piece. If basket size does not rise, the format did not work, even with good reach.

Sizes selling out

We watch which sizes empty first. That information matters more for reordering and for choosing the next creators than total reach does.

Fibre labelling, price advertising and environmental claims

Textiles carry their own labelling duties, and discount as well as sustainability claims are particularly dispute-prone in this category. These points are settled before production.

Fibre composition statements
Where the material is named, the statement has to match the actual composition. Wording such as pure cotton for a blended fabric is misleading, even when it only slips out casually in the video.
Presenting price reductions correctly
For a price reduction, the lowest price of the previous thirty days is the reference. Permanent struck-through prices or a constantly available discount code are therefore legally risky and commercially damaging.
Environmental and sustainability claims
Terms such as sustainable or climate neutral have to be evidenced and specific. Blanket environmental claims without a reference point are a well-known enforcement topic and do not belong in a freely written creator script.

Note: general orientation under textile labelling, price indication and unfair competition rules, not legal advice. Evidence is supplied by the brand before production starts.

When we advise against it

Sizing is unreliable

If your own size chart does not match the goods, every successful campaign only raises the return rate. The size chart is then the first step, not reach.

The campaign is meant to run purely on discount

Permanent discounting trains the audience never to buy at full price and additionally runs into strict price advertising rules. Fit and combination carry further.

Common questions about fashion campaigns

How many creators does a collection need?

Several with different builds, because the audience has to recognise itself. A single large profile creates reach but answers the fit question for one body type only and leaves everyone else uncertain.

Is modest fashion worth its own campaign?

Where the range supports it, yes. The community is active, recommends intensively and is barely reached by generic fashion campaigns. The condition is that fit and opacity genuinely deliver rather than merely being claimed.

What do we do about high returns?

Put measurements and sizing notes into the briefing as a requirement and choose creators who also name drawbacks. A campaign that raises returns is more expensive than no campaign, because shipping and processing eat the revenue.

The formats and metrics above describe how we work. They are not performance promises or evidence of previous OzyCore campaigns. Audience fit is checked against current platform insights before any selection. Status: August 2026.
