Influencer marketing for trades and construction

Trade businesses rarely have a demand problem and almost always a staffing problem. A campaign that ignores this solves the wrong issue.

Two goals that cannot be mixed

Most businesses arrive wanting more jobs and discover during the conversation that they can barely work through the ones they already have. The real bottleneck is skilled staff, and this channel suits that far better because it reaches people who are not browsing job boards. Advertising both at once does not work, though: a post with two calls to action usually halves both. For Turkish-speaking businesses there is a second point. A considerable share of the customer base decides through personal recommendation, and many businesses have never made visible what they can actually do. In this sector a video of finished work replaces an entire portfolio, because quality is readable in the execution rather than in a description.

Formats that work in the trades

01

Before and after on site

A renovation, a bathroom or a facade before and after the work shows the service without a single word of advertising. What matters is the owner's consent and a note about how long the work actually took, because that is precisely what gets asked.

02

One working step in detail

A short clip of clean execution, for example a joint, a connection or a weld, convinces trade audiences and customers at the same time. This footage is also the most effective way to attract applications from people with genuine interest.

03

The business as a workplace

Vehicles, tools, the break room and the tone of voice tell a potential employee more than any job listing. A business showing honestly how things run gets fewer but noticeably better matched applications.

04

Explaining typical damage

Posts about how to spot water damage or poor workmanship get shared heavily. They reach people before the job and position the business as someone qualified to judge it.

05

Process and realistic timelines

How long an enquiry takes to become an appointment and what a quote covers sets expectations in advance. That reduces enquiries that were never going to convert and noticeably relieves the office.

How a campaign runs

  1. 01

    Clarify the goal

Audience, region and the next measurable step.

  2. 02

    Select creators

Proposals with real figures instead of gut feeling.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Briefing, production, approval and publication with a clear plan of responsibility.

  4. 04

    Evaluate

Reach, engagement and enquiries in the report. Learnings go into the next campaign.

Which creator profile fits the trades

  • Trade profiles with their own practice

Creators who stand on site themselves are immediately placed by the audience. A pure lifestyle profile would have to establish credibility first and loses exactly the viewers who matter while doing so.

  • Your own staff as the face

For recruiting, a tradesperson from the business is almost always more credible than an external profile. Usage, duration and what happens after they leave belong in a written agreement beforehand.

  • Local profiles inside the service radius

A business only travels a certain distance. Reach beyond that radius produces enquiries that have to be declined, costing time rather than saving it.

What we measure in the trades

Quotes requested

We count enquiries stating the property, the location and a rough scope. Enquiries without those details are tracked separately, because they tie up office time without leading to a job.

Quotes accepted

Only a signed job is a solid result. We compare the acceptance rate before and during the campaign, because more enquiries at the same rate say very little.

Applications for open roles

Where recruiting runs alongside, applications are reported separately. In this sector they are often the more valuable result and are never mixed into customer numbers.

Share of enquiries inside the service radius

Enquiries are evaluated by distance to the business rather than only counted. Anything beyond the travel radius is shown but not booked as success, because it cannot generate revenue.

Prices, qualifications and contracts at the customer's home

In the trades contracts are often concluded at the customer's home, and advertising frequently contains claims about qualification and price. Clear rules apply to both, and we record them in the briefing before production.

Final prices towards consumers
Where a price is named it has to be the final price including VAT. Travel, materials and disposal are either explicitly included or explicitly not, otherwise a gap appears on the invoice that nobody explained.
Right of withdrawal for off-premises contracts
Where the contract is concluded at the customer's home there is generally a fourteen-day right of withdrawal with a duty to inform. A post urging an immediate start without mentioning this creates disputes exactly here.
Claims about qualification
Designations such as master craftsman business have to be accurate and must not arise casually in a video. False claims are not only unfair competition, in regulated trades they are also a licensing problem.

Note: general orientation, not legal advice. Claims about qualification, prices and withdrawal information remain the business's responsibility; we record them in the briefing.

When we advise against it

The order book is full

More enquiries then produce rejections and tie up office time. A pure recruiting campaign, or one for services with spare capacity, makes more sense in that situation.

Nobody can answer enquiries promptly

Someone getting in touch through a video expects an answer within days. Without a named owner in the office the campaign evaporates in the inbox and leaves a worse impression than before.

Common questions about trade campaigns

Should we advertise for jobs or for staff?

Usually for one of the two per campaign. Both goals in one post reliably halve the effect. We first establish which bottleneck costs more financially and start there.

May we show footage of customer properties?

Only with the owner's consent, and without details that allow conclusions about the address or the residents. We settle that before the appointment and record who obtains the consent.

Does this work without our own website?

In the short term yes, because enquiries arrive through messages and calls. Long term no, because interested people look the business up later and find nothing. A business profile is the faster first step in that case.

The formats and metrics above describe how we work. They are not performance promises or evidence of previous OzyCore campaigns. Audience fit is checked against current platform insights before any selection. Status: August 2026.
